W. Martin de Jong is Associate Professor of Policy, Organisation, Law and Games in the School of Technology, Policy and Management, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. He is also a Guest Professor at the National Centre of Technology, Policy and Management of Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He holds a Master's Degree in public policy from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Leiden University (The Netherlands) and obtained his PhD degree in systems engineering, policy analysis and management from Delft University of Technology in 1999 with a dissertation entitled 'Institutional Transplantation; how to adopt Good Transport Infrastructure Decision Making Ideas from other Countries'. Since then he has been publishing and lecturing extensively on the subjects of cross-national policy transfer, cross-national institutional comparison, policy analysis, planning, transport infrastructure policy, institutional economics and evolutionary economics.
