Stephen Glaister is Professor of Transport and Infrastructure, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Director of Railway Technology Strategy Center, Imperial College London. Board Member, Transit for London, having previously been with the Department of Economics at the London School of Economics. His area of expertise is the economics of transport. Stephen was a non-executive director of London Regional Transport Board from 1984-1993. He also acted as an economic adviser to the Rail Regulator from 1993-2001. He was appointed CBE in 1998. He earns a Ph.D. from University of London in 1976. A MSc. In Econometrics from The London School of Economics in 1968, and a BA in Mathematical Economics from University of Essex in 1967.
